Jsou popsána diagnostická kritéria chronického únavového syndromu (CFS) platná od r. 1988 (Holmes) a 1994 (Fukuda), jsou uvedeny rizikové faktory, výskyt, průběh nemoci, příbuzné syndromy. Dále jsou popsány projevy CFS v interním lékařství, gynekologii, pediatrii, neurologii, psychiatrii a imunologii. Je uveden přehled polypragmatické léčby.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The diagnostic criteria of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), which were validated in 1988 (Holmes) and 1994 (Fukuda), are defined, and the risk factors, incidence, clinical course and relative syndromes are outlined. Furthermore, the manifestations of CFS in internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, psychiatry and immunology are described. A review of the polypragmatic therapy is also presented.
