Sexuální dysfunkce jsou jedním z častých symptomů depresivních rozlad. Antidepresiva, v terapii účinná a většinou dobře snášená, mohou sexuální dysfunkce způsobovat. Tricyklická antidepresiva, inhibitory monoaminooxidázy a selektivní inhibitory zpětného vychytávání serotoninu sexuální dysfunkce mnohdy indukují, šetrnější jsou novější antidepresiva (SNRI, NASSA, RIMA). Účinky jednotlivých farmak na složky sexuálních funkcí jsou podány v přehledu. Studií zabývajících se množstvím sexuálních dysfunkcí a podrobnějších specifikací není mnoho, leckdy se jedná jen o kazuistická sdělení.

Sexual dysfunctions and longterm antidepressants intaken

Sexual dysfunction is one of frequent symptoms accompanying a depressive mood. Antidepressants, efficient and mostly well-tolerated during therapy, can cause sexual dysfunction. Tricyclic antidepressants, Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors can often induce sexual dysfunction, newer antidepressants are more sparing (SNRI, NASA, RIMA). Effects of particular drugs on components of sexual function are given in review. There are a few studies dealing with quantity of sexual dysfunction and its detailed specification, sometimes only case studies are described.
