A Mental Bulimia (Eating Disorder) in Male-Patients

The author presents a brief outline of a problem which has only until recently been described in a few medical journals. The disease, male mental anorexia, is a known but not often discused problem. Eating disorders in men have a low prevalence. Mental bulimia, or bulimia nervosa is usually asociated primarily with women. The article discloses some of the documented causes of male mental bulimia and also those encountered in clinical practice.
