Autoři přinášejí přehled psychických změn a poruch spojených s diagnostickou jednotkou roztroušené sklerózy a s její léčbou. Projevy tohoto onemocnění přesahují hranice neurologie a imunologie a vyžadují i psychiatrickou léčbu. V článku jsou zvlášť popsána narušení kognitivních funkcí, afektivní poruchy a psychotické stavy vyskytující se při roztroušené skleróze, zmíněny jsou i obvyklé a experimentální terapeutické postupy.

The psychiatric questions in sclerosis multiplex

The authors give a review of psychic changes and disorders accompanying diagnostic entity of sclerosis multiplex and its treatment. Symptoms of this disease extend beyond neurology and immunology and require even psychiatric care. The article describes especially disturbances in cognitive functions, affective disorders and psychotic states occurring in sclerosis multiplex, this common and experimental therapeutic approaches are mentioned.
