V běžné klinické praxi jsou pro kardiologa zajímavé zejména dvě skupiny psychofarmak, které hojně používá psychiatr. Antipsychotika a antidepresiva. Antipsychotika z důvodu možných nežádoucích kardiovaskulárních účinků, některá antidepresiva naopak z možnosti zabránění závažných kardiovaskulárních příhod.

PSYCHOTHERAPEUTICS DO NOT DIVIDE A PSYCHIATRIST FROM A CARDIOLOGIST

In routine medical practice a cardiologist encounters mainly two groups of psychotherapeutics frequently used by a psychiatrist - antipsychotics and antidepressants. Antipsychotics can possibly cause unfavorable cardiac impacts, on the contrary some antidepressants can prevent major cardiovascular events.
