Therapy of agitation in psychiatric disorders caused by psychoactive drugs

The article deals with a few selected topics from the range of the addictive disorders, in which the symptom of acute agitation occurs

in any phase of abuse. We emphasize the typical characteristics of the states and we describe the basic algorithms of the treatment in

reference to both the guidelines and our own experience. The most frequent psychiatric and somatic complications are mentioned.
