Crisis intervention: an overview twenty years after

Crisis intervention is a therapeutic approach on the border between short term psychotherapy, emergency psychiatry, and social counselling.

This review describes historical roots of crisis intervention, crisis theory and crisis principles. Some troubles and complications

are described, in conclusion.
