Depression in cancer patients

Depressive disorders have frequently been encountered in cancer patients with prevalence > 20%. During routine oncology daily care,

depression screening, assessment and treatment are of paramount importance for the outcome, compliance, and quality of life in patients.

The article draws attention to some useful diagnostic tools and newer knowledge in therapy.
