Stigmatisation in child and adolescent psychiatry

Mental illness is associated with stigma. The consequence of stigma is discrimination. Destigmatisation and improving the quality of care

in psychiatry became the main targets for psychiatry within the last ten years. How is it with the stigmatisation of mentally ill children

and adolescents? The aims of this article is to bring a review of basic informations about stigmatisation in child and adolescent psychiatry

and to discuss the consequences and prevention of it.
