The effect of work-based therapy on patient with chronic course of schizophrenia

This case report presents a female patient with chronic schizophrenia who was on disability, living completely isolated from society. Thispatient participated in a paid program of work – based therapy which resulted in such an improvement of her work habits that she wasable to obtain a regular part – time employment. Psychopathological symptoms of this disorder were monitored at the beginning and atthe end of the program. The quality of life was evaluated as well.
