Autocastration as a severe manifestation of schizofrenia

The authors present a case report of a patient who underwent a self-orchiectomy of his left testicle at home with the need of a subsequent surgical
revision. Afterwards the authors describe the procedure of hospitalization with a following transfer to a psychiatric department.
