Considering the high prevalence of combinations of both psychiatric and somatic drugs, drug interactions represent atopical issue in psychiatry. We performed the analysis of the computer program records and we have defined 15 most often reported interactions of the highest importance. Our survey contains 6 antidepressants, 4 antipsychotics, 2 sedatives/hypnotics and 1 drug used in atreatment of addiction. Athreat in aparticular patient depends on additional risk factors and individual adverse events are of different seriousness and they are recognizable differently. Aclinician is obliged to assess the information of acomputer system critically. The awareness, i.e. anticipating of drug interactions is the most important in our opinion. So we emphasize the usefulness of routine usage of asoftware assistant.
