Klinická vodítka NICE léčby depresivních poruch u dětí a adolescentů

prof. MUDr. Ivana Drtílková CSc

Psychiatr. pro Praxi, 2007; 4: 158-161

Antidepresant medication should not be offered to a child or young person with moderate or severe depression except in combination with a concurrent psychological therapy. Accordance with NICE Guideline, when an antidepressant is prescribed to a child or young people with moderate to severe depression it should be fluoxetine as this is only antidepressant for which clinical trial evidence show that the benefits outweigh the risk. If treatment with fluoxetine is unsuccesful or is not tolerated, consideration should be given to the use of anorther antidepressant – sertraline or citaloprame are the recommended as second-line treatments.

Mgr. Štefánia Laskovská

Psychiatr. pro Praxi, 2007; 4: 162-164

The aim of this article is to increase awareness of neglected problems of co-dependence, its importance for clinical practice and the insufficient attention to the problem. The phenomena of co-dependence explains also the behavior of persons close to dependant individuals, their paradoxical hiding the problem from the surrounding, accepting and deepening proper suffering. The article summarizes information on the topic of co-dependence, attempts to provide new information for medical professionals caring for dependant patients and discusses the family therapy. Least but not last the authors would like to propagate the work of Ch. L. Whitfield.
