Cílem anonymní ankety bylo hodnocení vlastního zjevu respondenta ( body image) a zjištění jeho názoru na požadované vlastnosti a vzhledové charakteristiky při hledání životního partnera cestou modelového inzerátu. Specifickým cílem bylo hodnocení významu štíhlosti v hodnotové hierarchii. Anketa umožnila srovnat názory zdravé populace s názory dívek, které se léčí pro poruchu příjmu potravy.
