Psychomotor agitation is one of the most common manifestations of psychological problems encountered by doctors regardless of specialization. In departments outside psychiatry, the procedures used in its therapy are often inconsistent, based on outdated knowledge. Patients are often damaged by basic errors in medication selection, dosing, incomplete examination of the condition. Adequate therapy can significantly affect patient safety, disease prognosis and reduce treatment time. As part of the revision of the methodological guidelines for the treatment of a restless patient, we have created graphical formulations for the most common patient groups, which provide a basic guide for managing these difficult situations.
