New psychoactive substances (NPS) have appeared on the European drug scene for the last 15 years. In the Czech Republic, theirprevalence is noticeable since 2010. Multiple sclerosis is a severe demyelinating disease. Sleep issues are common in older patients. In patients aged 65 years and above we generally treat both primary sleep disordersand sleep disturbances that are related to comorbid internal or psychiatric disorders or occur due to medication used. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most common sleep-related breathing disorder with a lifetime prevalence of 2–14% in theadult population. The hallmark of the disease are recurrent apneic episodes caused by a closure of the upper airways at the endof expiration.
